From 2075 Magh 5 Nepal Telecom has changed it's billing process and it's landline bill inquiry system has also been changed. The post has been updated based on new landline bill inquiry system.
Previously, people have to visit Nepal Telecom office to query or pay their PSTN landline bill. After standing for few hours in line they were able to pay the bills. Now we can check and pay the bills sitting at home using IVR or online recharge system. Here are some information to know your bills easily and pay it.

SMS (Text Messages):
You can check PSTN landline bill sending SMS using any NTC number. Go to messages and type and new message using a specific format "CB 0AreaCodeTelephoneNumber" without quotes. Example: if you want to know bill of telephone number 512345 of area code 076, you have to type CB*076512345 and send it to 1415.
IVR System:
You can easily check PSTN landline bills via PSTN bill enquiry system. Dial 1606 from your PSTN landline. Press 1 or 2 for language you are convenient with. Press 1 to know your landline bill. Then, press 1 to know your monthly bill or 2 to know your bill till date.

After knowing the bills you can the remaining landline bill online using online payments portal like eSewa and others or using Nepal Telecom's recharge cards. For payment through recharge you may have to dial 1412 or 1413 from your PSTN landline and follow the voice instruction to pay the bill.
