In Nepal it is must to be updated with international as well as Nepali Calendar. It's sometime quite difficult to remember date as well as miti. If you work in a office you will need to convert International date to Nepali miti and vice-versa on daily basis. Sometime we have to convert date before few years may be someone wants to know his/her birth date then the difficulty arrives.
Previously it was difficult to convert date using books but now it's easy you can do it using software on your PC. You can install it on your PC laptop and a small gadget will always appear on you desktop with current time, date, miti and tithi i.e. of 2073, 2074 and so on. It run in Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 and requires less then 1 MB to setup. Whenever you want to check nepali or international date you can switch to your desktop and view it easily.
Few Instruction to use Nepali Calendar Software:
- When you will double click on the Nepali date gadget a window will appear as above with monthly calendar.
- You can switch to International Calendar with Nepali Miti by clicking on Isbi Sambat (A.D) and switch back to Nepali Miti with International Calendar by clicking on Vikram Sambat (B.S).
- You can click on date and tithi of that day will be displayed on top of this window.
- To convert date click on date conversion and you will see a small window as below. Click on Vikram Sambat (B.S) and enter Nepali Miti then click on Isbi Sambat (A.D) and entered Nepali Miti will be converted to Isbi Sambat (A.D) Date.
- If you want to convert Isbi Sambat (A.D) to Nepali Miti, click on Isbi Sambat (A.D) and enter date then click on Vikram Sambat (B.S) and entered date will be converted to miti.
Instructions to setup:
- Download Nepali Calendar and unzip it.
- You will see 3 fonts in the folder namely arap11__, SUDAR___ and sudarsha. Install these three fonts in your computer or laptop. If you won't install these fonts text on Nepali Calendar will not be clear.
- Run Nepali Calendar.exe and follow the screen instruction to complete setup.
- Run Nepali Calendar from you desktop for first time and you are done.
That's all.
